YouMeWe NPO
Empowering teenagers from foster homes and orphanages to build confident, independent futures
Location: Activities in Japan, Philippines and Brazil
Mission:
To support teenagers growing up in institutionalized homes as they prepare to leave care at age 18, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and guidance to pursue education, employment, and independent living.
Who we are
YouMeWe is a non-profit organization based in Tokyo that works directly with children’s homes to mentor and educate young people facing the challenges of institutional care.
They help children develop critical life skills, from digital literacy to communication and decision-making. So that when they leave care, they’re ready to thrive in the real world.
Through one-on-one support, community engagement, and long-term mentoring, YouMeWe fills the gap between care and true independence.

-
Employment Readiness: Many lack job skills, mentors, or access to opportunity.
-
Confidence Gap: Without encouragement, many don’t believe they have options.
